All I remember is that it is allowed to remain undisturbed so that the fumes of the developing fluid, can envelope the plate and develop it. It's just the time it takes for the chemical interaction to occur. I guess that is what you were asking?Why Thin Layer Chromatography plate is allowed to remain undisturbed for a 20-30 minute developing time?
30 mins for a TLC plate?
What kind of solvent were you using? That's extremely long for run of the mill TLC Report Abuse
